Transfer of Credits to the Study Program Master in Economics
Individual examinations taken in study programs at other public or state-approved universities, at public or state-approved academies or institutions of higher education, or in study programs at foreign public or state-approved universities will be recognized on application only, provided there are no substantial differences between the individual examinations taken and the modules that are to be substituted.
Instructions on how to hand in your Transfer of Credits Applications
In order to guarantee students’ and Exam Office employees’ health, you cannot hand in Transfer of Credits Application(s) personally at the Exam Office. Students who wish to do so, pls. send an e-mail to vwlpa@uni-bonn.de with the completed and signed Transfer of Credits Application(s) (s. below) as a PDF. Pls. do so within the deadline applying to the respective semester (see time table on the left). Pls. include all necessary documents in your e-mail (transcript, module descriptions in single PDFs, not together in one and pls. do not send the whole module handbook!). The submission of the original documents by post will be not be necessary until further notice.
Transfer of Credits on Application only
You have to hand in an application for transfer of credits for each individual credit. If several credits are to be transferred at the same time, your may do so on one form.
Transfer of credit applications may be handed in each semester.
Note:
Having registered (even if you later withdraw) for an exam in your MSc in Economics studies in Bonn, you may not later hand in a transfer of credit application for this particular exam.
Note:
If credits are transferred, this will be effected without a grade and with a "passed" remark. A transfer of credits will be shown as such on your Certificate.
Refusal of Enrollment/Studying in Bonn impossible
In case an examination required for the respective study program according to the corresponding Examination Regulations has been failed in its final attempt at a university or an institution of higher education in Germany, it is not possible to enroll. The same applies to study programs that show a substantial content similarity as determined by the corresponding Examination Regulations.
In case of doubt whether your study program shows a substantial content similarity or is identical, please contact the Examination Office before enrollment.
